In the future, our health will be monitored continuously by ambient sensors in our homes, that will detect and monitor nearly invisible trends or changes in our habits and vital signs, and detect health medical problems such as infections, or deteriorations in chronic conditions, before the first perceptible symptom even occurs.


Norbert Health has built the first AI health hub that makes this future a reality. Our device is a sleek, plug-and-play, consumer grade AI powered hub that performs (almost all) the work of a full time nurse, wherever patients are. It can:


* take vital signs without contact in 15 seconds - temperature, cardiac activity, breathing rate, and blood pressure
* run mobility, cognitive, mental health assessments thanks to its onboard conversational and visual AI
* perform medication reminders, or answer questions about the health of a patient
* Incentivize people and patients to stick by their medical schedule and program, and keep healthy habits

The position
================

  

We are looking for a full stack tech lead in our software team, to design, develop and scale the platform connecting our devices and our users and devices, delivering reports to healthcare professionals, administrating registered patients, provisioning systems according to their licenses and plans.


This position is a for a contributor who is also interested in mentoring and growing a top notch team around them, setting standards and fostering great code development.


Working closely with the CTO, you will have a unique opportunity to shape our technical and production architecture and be instrumental in building a revolutionary set of contactless automated health monitoring products.


What you will do
--------------------


* Lead and develop a small team of Backend and DevOps engineers
* Design, build, test, monitor and maintain our backend service, APIs, web applications, data pipelines, CI pipelines
* Be an active contributor and write code in the backend or web application side of things
* Solve groundbreaking problems at the intersection of AI, software, hardware, AI and real healthcare
* Package and deploy advanced machine learning and generative artificial intelligence software
* Stay on top of technical innovation to identify technologies we should integrate
* Help grow the team and the culture of the team based on transparency, diversity, excellence
* Contribute to building a tech culture focused on diversity and excellenc

What we are looking for:
----------------------------


* Strong technical skills in developing backend, devops or web development software
* Experience managing software development projects and engineers
* Ability to make, share and document architecture and design choices
* Knowledge of cloud infrastructure - GCP, AWS,
* Firsthand experience with cloud storage (eg. S3)
* Deep Understanding of Linux and Docker
* Experience with monitoring and incident management (eg. DataDog).
* Passion for building secure systems that preserved our user privacy (cybersecurity)
* Problem solving mindset, genuine team spirit, and a constant need to learn and break the barriers of technology
* Any of the following would a plus:
	+ Knowledge of web dashboards and UI development would be a plus.
	+ job scheduling (eg. Airflow),
	+ message queues and streams (eg. Kafka, RabbitMQ),
	+ distributed computation (Hadoop, Spark, etc) for Analytics and Machine Learning use cases
	+ Experience in medically compliant systems
