NewtekOne is looking to add a Financial Reporting Analyst to its team!


The Financial Reporting Analyst will play a critical role in the company's SEC Reporting and technical Accounting Functions.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

* Assist with the financial reporting process - both external and internal.
* Assist with authoring SEC filings including 10-Q and 10-K, including preparing MD&A analysis and drafting footnote language.
* Complete a tie-out of all numbers including reviewing supporting schedules and partnering with business leaders for further review.
* Ensure all reporting is free from any footing/cross-footing or typographical errors.
* Prepare elimination entries for inter-company transactions to accurately present consolidated financial statements.
* Assist with standalone audits of subsidiaries.
* Manage audit requests to ensure deliverables are provided and questions are resolved timely.
* Operate in compliance with SOX guidelines and provide support for controls testing to internal/external auditors.
* Compare actual results to budgets and perform variance analysis.
* Suggest process improvements in order to create efficiencies and reduce timeframes for deliverables in the financial close and reporting processes.
* Assist in cross-training for key processes to help ensure consistency.
* Partner with other teams / departments on special projects.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* 1-3 years of Public Accounting and/or Private Industry experience, preferably with a public company
* Solid analytical and research skills
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Strong attention to detail
* Highly organized and able to juggle competing priorities

Education & Certification Requirements:


Bachelor's Degree in Accounting


Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 annually
