Primary responsibilities shall center on the engineering support of one or more of Braun’s industrial laundry products.

Responsibilities will include ownership of the product engineering process from new product development to support of Sales, Manufacturing, Parts and Service to ensure that the product designs are accurately maintained and controlled to produce consistently high-quality machines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Design equipment considering engineering standards, form, fit, function, safety, reliability, cost, ease of manufacture, ease of maintenance, as well as ease of shipping and installation.
* Conduct design verification utilizing finite element analysis, fatigue analysis, and other appropriate verification methods as development project requirements may dictate.
* Coordinate and conduct testing of prototype equipment to validate design form, fit and function.
* Develop all technical documentation to support consistent, repeatable manufacturing including engineering drawings, definition of tolerances, specifications for purchased components or materials, quality standards, service manuals, test requirements and any other pertinent product information necessary for proper engineering control.
* Within a team environment, be able to develop and adhere to schedules and coordinate the activities of peers, technicians and manufacturing personnel.
* Ensure that all engineering changes are accurately and thoroughly documented and communicated via Braun’s Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process.
* Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in an appropriate engineering field, preferably Mechanical Engineering is required. A minimum of 3 years of experience required.

Knowledge of common engineering practices, computer-aided design (CAD) software, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, project management techniques, and industrial manufacturing techniques are required.

Experience required:

· 3D CAD experience with Software such as SolidWorks, Pro-E or Inventor

Experience desired:

· Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software such as COSMOS or ANSYS

· Microsoft Project software
