Job Details We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our well-established and growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-starter who has a strong understanding of mechanical design, product development and a passion for problem-solving. Responsibilities * Develop, test, and evaluate mechanical designs and, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry standards. * Utilize SolidWorks for mechanical design to create and modify drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established specifications and standards. * Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve design and manufacturing issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary. * Manage engineering projects from start to finish, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery. * Optimize manufacturing processes through design for manufacturing (DFM) methods, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as necessary. * Collaborate with the production team to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability, providing technical guidance as needed. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the manufacturing industry. * Proficiency in Mechanical Design and SolidWorks is mandatory. * Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving. * Strong understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles and practices.
