Join a dynamic healthcare financial team, assisting in the development and maintenance of accurate financial records. As an Accountant you will analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, support financial reporting, and ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations. You will collaborate with various departments and play a key role in enhancing financial transparency and operational efficiency within Trinity Health. This role provides an opportunity to work within a fast-paced healthcare environment while growing your accounting expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the preparation of financial statements for the Regional Health Ministry (RHM) and Market Record to Report (R2R) shared services area.
* Perform general ledger account analysis and reconciliations in compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory reporting requirements.
* Assist in audits, tax filings, and special financial projects.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations and financial standards.
* Use multiple accounting systems for accurate data collection and management.
* Foster collaborative relationships across departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

 What You'll Do:

* Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Participate in year-end financial reporting, audit preparations, and supporting financial statement disclosures.
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality.
* Continuously enhance your knowledge and support performance improvement efforts to streamline processes and improve financial outcomes.
* Assist with the preparation of sales, use tax reporting, and annual property tax returns.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
* Proficiency in US GAAP and financial analysis with experience in resolving accounting issues.
* At least two (2) years of accounting experience preferred; healthcare industry experience is a plus.
* Experience working with various accounting systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

* Primarily office-based with occasional travel, requiring continuous indoor work under temperature-controlled conditions.
* Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work for extended periods sitting, with occasional standing, walking, bending, or pushing.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions in a fast-paced environment.
* Visual and auditory skills necessary to perform tasks requiring focus, including reading small print, hearing conversations, and communicating effectively.

Hourly Pay Range: $24.05 - $36.08
