Position Overview:




 A staff accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining an organization's financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting in financial analysis. They work closely with the accounting team and other departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
 



  





Key Responsibilities:



* Record daily cash and credit funding transactions and ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Perform credit cards and cash deposit reconciliations for all stores in US and Canada.
* Ensure the accuracy and completeness of journal entries, general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
* Perform weekly/monthly bank reconciliations.
* Meet monthly reporting deadlines and assist with month end closings.
* Perform monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliations as assigned.
* Collaborate with retail stores to manage chargebacks.
* Support the retail teams with pretty cash and coins replenishment.
* Support the external audits as needed.
* Assist all the miscellaneous projects as needed.



  





Experience & Key Competencies:



* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* 1-3 years of experiences in staff accounting or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
* Experience in Retail Accounting/Finance is preferred.
