Job Description
 We’re looking for a
 Part-time Accounting Manager 
 to provide coverage for a team member who is going on parental leave.
   

  

 You will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the day-to-day finance and accounting operations. This includes ensuring smooth financial processes, compliance with accounting policies, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for maintaining financial security, preparing financial statements, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, and managing vendor relationships. You will also play a critical role in establishing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate and timely financial data.
   

  

* This opportunity is for part-time, temporary employment (up to 8 hours/week). Flexible schedule and fully remote. Must be available for 1-2 days of training in December and January and able to commit to working from February through May 2025.\*


Responsibilities:
* Bookkeeping: Actively work and manage the day-to-day finance functions, including outgoing payments
* Vendor Finance Relations: Vendor onboarding and account maintenance, including problem resolution (all housed in bill.com)
* Financial reporting: Preparing and reviewing financial statements, including booking journal entries, preparing annual budgets, financial forecasts, and business activity reports
* Internal controls: Ensuring compliance with internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation
* Financial security: Maintaining financial security by establishing internal controls and keeping information confidential
* Accounting policies and procedures: Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures, complete transactional accounting, account reconciliations, and participate in closing processes


 Qualifications
   

  

* 5-8 years of finance/accounting experience
* CPAs strongly preferred
* Experience with accounting software and financial systems (NetSuite experience strongly preferred)
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
* Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively across teams
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach
* High level of confidentiality and professionalism
* Knowledge of advanced Excel or financial modeling skills

* Compensation range: $35 - $55/hour. This represents the expected compensation range for this job requisition
