Position Description: Who We AreNIP Group www.nipgroup.com is a rapidly growing insurance service provider of specialty programs for commercial insurance brokers and carriers providing underwriting, distribution, product management, administration, and risk management services primarily by acting as a managing underwriter (MGA) and a Reciprocal Services Manager (RSM).

About the PositionWe are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team at NIP Group. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide key financial insights and support strategic decision-making by analyzing trends, forecasting financial performance, and delivering actionable recommendations. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the Financial Analyst will play a vital role in shaping the financial success of the organization.  

What Youll DoWe have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join our team, responsibilities include:  

  

*Financial Planning and Forecasting:*Assist in preparing annual budgets, long-term financial plans, and rolling forecasts.
Partner with assigned business units to gather input for forecasts and budgets, ensuring alignment with company objectives.  

*Analysis and Reporting:*Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis and KPI tracking.
Develop dashboards and other tools to present data to executive leadership.  

*Collaboration & Communication:*Act as a key liaison between FP&A and other departments, including underwriting, claims, actuarial, and IT.
Facilitate regular meetings with cross-functional teams to review financial performance, align goals, and address any issues.
Communicate financial results and insights effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders, tailoring messaging to the audience.  

*Business Partnering:*Collaborate with underwriters, actuaries, and other key stakeholders to understand financial impacts of pricing, claims, and reinsurance strategies.
Provide insights on product profitability, loss ratios, and expense trends to influence decision-making.  

*Process Improvements:*Enhance existing financial models and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Automate data collection and reporting tasks through tools like Excel, Power BI, or SQL.  

What Were Looking ForBachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.
2-5 years of financial analysis experience, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
Strong knowledge of the P&C insurance industry, including underwriting, claims, and regulatory frameworks, is highly desirable.
Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus.
Understanding of databases and/or data mining/query tools (Cognos Finance).
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
