High Voltage Substation Services Ltd (HVSS) HVSS specializes in the design, construction, installation, and commissioning of High Voltage Substation Systems up to 400kV. We provide comprehensive services for all aspects of high voltage substation civil and electrical construction from the earliest stages to testing & commissioning and handover. Job Title: Site Civil Engineer Location: England / Wales / Scotland / Northern Ireland Industry Type: Electrical (High Voltage Substations) & BESS Benefits: Pension, Private Healthcare, Lodge Allowance outside London, Competitive salary Opportunity: HVSS is seeking a qualified Site Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team due to our expanding portfolio. This role is crucial for the ongoing development of the business and involves working on major high voltage substation projects across the UK. Job Role: * Manage and oversee civil engineering aspects of high voltage substation and BESS projects * Coordinate construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications and civil engineering standards. * Conduct site inspections and assessments to monitor project progress and adherence to safety regulations. * Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to resolve any technical issues and ensure optimal integration of civil works. * Prepare and review engineering documents, drawings, and reports. * Ensure environmental compliance and address any community or regulatory concerns related to civil works. * Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers and technicians. * Set out works using G P S equipment Working Hours: 45 hours per week – site. Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or NVQ level 5 minimum * Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent registered with an institute * Proven experience as a civil engineer in infrastructure or utilities, preferably in high voltage substations or BESS projects * Strong project management and leadership skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * IT literate MS word and Excel * Willing to travel Salary Range: £30,000 to £60,000 Depending on experience.
