 Business Banking Technology (BB Tech) is responsible for the world-leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank – from innovative product platforms for our customers, to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive simplicity and better banking, an essential component of great customer service underpinning a strong.
   

  

 As a Software Engineer, you'll be doing hands-on coding, developing components for application and be responsible for shaping the evolution of our platform by contributing to end-to-end design, implementation, and delivery with opportunities to learn more about software engineering. Here, you’ll get to turn your passion into reality, working with new technology on state-of-the-art projects to enable a seamless and unrivalled customer experience. You'll also be invited to build your expertise and create networking opportunities by participating in our regular engineering guilds.
   

  

We’re interested in hearing from people who:
* Have solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and best practices.
* Are passionate about building high quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage.
* Collaborates within the team to apply the principles of design, development, testing, deployment, support, and evaluation.
* Are actively involved in continuous learning, experimentation, and participate in peer code reviews.
* Are constantly thinking outside the box and breaking boundaries to solve complex technical problems.
* Work well in teams and have strong collaboration skills in driving continuous improvement initiatives.


Tech Skills:
 We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team:
   

  

* Backend - .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET
* Fronted - JavaScript, Typescript
* Expertise with Microservices, Restful API design pattern
* DevOps and CI/CD – TeamCity, GitHub Copilot
* AWS Cloud – EC2, SNS, S3, Lambda, Certification is a must
* Any experience with the following would be great - Redux, Kafka, Banking domain
