Position Overview:  
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – SCM with a strong background in the sheet metal manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing supply chain processes, ensuring timely procurement, and maintaining efficient inventory management to support production and business goals.

Key Responsibilities1. Procurement & Vendor Management:

* Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials, components, and services specific to sheet metal manufacturing.
* Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.
* Identify and onboard new vendors to diversify the supplier base and mitigate risks.

2. Inventory & Material Management:

* Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts, ensuring the uninterrupted production process.
* Implement effective material planning techniques aligned with production schedules.
* Oversee raw material receipts, quality inspections, and storage practices.

3. Supply Chain Optimization:

* Analyze and improve supply chain workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
* Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to streamline operations.
* Address bottlenecks and ensure timely availability of materials to meet production timelines.

4. Logistics Coordination:

* Plan and oversee the movement of raw materials and finished goods within the supply chain network.
* Manage shipping and transportation to ensure timely delivery to customers.
* Optimize routes and transportation costs while adhering to delivery commitments.

5. Cost & Budget Management:

* Monitor supply chain expenditures and work on cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
* Prepare and manage the supply chain budget effectively.

6. Compliance & Reporting:

* Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, company policies, and industry guidelines in procurement and logistics.
* Generate and maintain reports on procurement, inventory, and supply chain performance for senior management review.

Key Requirements1. Educational Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

2. Experience:

* 4-8 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the sheet metal manufacturing industry.
* Proven experience in procurement, inventory management, and logistics coordination.

3. Skills & Competencies:

* Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and material specifications.
* Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
* Proficient in using ERP systems and supply chain software.
* Analytical thinking with a problem-solving approach to address supply chain challenges.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across departments.

4. Technical Skills:

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Experience in SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred.

5. Other Requirements:

* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Willingness to travel to vendor locations and warehouses when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
