Job Description

CAMECA is a world leading supplier of microanalytical and metrology instrumentation for research and process control. Our instruments measure elemental and isotopic composition in materials down to atomic resolution and equip government and university labs as well as high-tech industrial companies around the world.  


Reporting to the Mechanical Design Office Manager, and under the responsibility of the Mechanical EC Lead, your main mission is to participate in processing requests for mechanical modifications ( ECs ). Occasionally, you help the BEM design team on certain projects, depending on the ECs load , emergencies and R&D priorities.  


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Your tasks will be to:  

* Process the requests for mechanical modifications that will be assigned to you: that is, analyze, understand and integrate the technical constraints of the problem posed, by exchanging if necessary with your colleagues in production (assembly, development). You look for solutions to meet the need and in more sensitive cases, you validate the principle and the actions to be taken with the Mechanical ECs Lead and/or the BEM manager or the BEM engineer referring to the product line concerned;
* Ensure that technical solutions are reliable, economically relevant and in accordance with the “Design For Manufacturing” and “Design For Service” policy;
* Update the nomenclatures related to the processed ECs .
* Update assemblies, and create new versions of the JT 3D file for evolving assemblies.
* Suggest improvements to parts when processing ECs;
* Participate in the development and validation of prototypes defined during the processing of ECs: help and assistance with assembly, participation and monitoring of tests and updating of the technical file with corrections;
* Participate in problem-solving groups on change requests from production;
* Propose, as part of the processing of requests for mechanical modifications, improvements to optimize production and facilitate the manufacture of parts by suppliers;
* Provide the technical interface (in both directions) between R&D and operations (production, after-sales service, Orders, Purchasing) on the processing of mechanical ECs ;
* EC processing team in the event of the Lead being unavailable;
* Prior to validation of ECs by the mechanical ECs lead , propose levels of application of modification requests;
* Occasionally strengthen the BEM mechanical design team on files to be finalized urgently (BOM, detailed plans, general plans).
  

DIPLOMA & EXPERIENCE
* Diploma level Bac + 2 or 3 (BTS, DUT, BUT or product design license or equivalent);
* 2 years minimum experience required in the industry, at least part of which must be in the assembly industry;
* Preferably on complex small/medium series products (instrumentation, etc. );
* Space software ;
* Practice of at least one ERP (preferably NAVISION);
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing practices.
