Job Description

Westfield Secondary School is a Toronto-based private high school inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education. We offer the Ontario Secondary School Diploma to our graduating students. We are currently looking for an Art teacher for a full-time position beginning as early as December 5th. Westfield Secondary School is dedicated to the success of its students, and our Art Program is a main area of interest for our students. This role would see you help develop the curriculum and content of a variety of Art-based courses. The below list is a list of some, though not necessarily all, of the duties required of the role:

Responsibilities:

* Create an environment of positivity and collaboration
* Generate daily student attendance reports using Maplewood ConnectED;
* Create and maintain Lesson plans, Unit plans, and Assessment plans;
* Keeping track of important Art supplies and equipment;
* Managing the creation, storage, and maintenance of student information files, including assessments For/As/Of Learning;
* Prepare activities and projects that promote student learning and interest in Art;

Basic Requirements:

* Strong command of English;
* Strong desire to work with and support students;
* A high level of creativity in assessment creation and delivery is an asset;
* Experience working with Ontario Ministry of Education guidelines, especially Growing Success an asset;
* Experience working with children in both in-person and online environments is an asset;
* Familiarity with Edsembli, Schoology is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $4,100.00-$4,300.00 per month
