Job Description
ZT Consulting Group, Inc. (ZTC) is currently seeking a Civil Engineer with roadway or structural work experience to join our team. Applications will be accepted at HR@ztcgrp.com. ZT Consulting Group is a specialized consulting engineering company that provides services to public transportation agencies, specializing in bridge construction and fabrication, with a strong focus on steel and precast fabrication. Our team of experts has completed numerous public projects within the State of California over the past decade. We pride ourselves on our technical knowledge and skills necessary to successfully complete even the most complex and demanding projects. Responsibilities: ZTC is seeking to fill a Civil Engineering position for our many projects involving highway construction and material testing. The candidate will work as a Licensed Civil Engineer and assist the TEAM in completing various tasks, including: * Reviewing construction design plans and specifications * Preparing and implementing the construction Quality Management Plans * Preparing and implementing monthly quality reports * Completing construction material inspection reports * Reviewing submittals for construction component Quality Control Plans * Performing facility audits * Verifying Component Fabrication Inspections * Developing construction material specifications/control cycle verification * Conducting Fabrication Risk Audits * Performing Construction Failure Analysis The candidate will utilize their knowledge to anticipate and resolve any issues that may arise during construction associated with materials and QA activity. The candidate will provide direction to inspectors and technical staff. Any necessary training will be provided. Qualifications and Skills: * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering * Minimum of 4 years related work experience * Professional Civil Engineering License required * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities * Proficient writing, communication, and teamwork skills * Occasional travel up to 25% (will be discussed in more detail) We are an equal opportunity employer that recognizes the value of a diverse workforce.
