Overall, Purpose of this Job:
 Our Innovative Medicine trade control program aims to reduce compliance risk by proactively and strategically identifying and remediating risk areas related to Innovative Medicine imports and exports. We are positioned within the Innovative Medicine segment to build global strategies and general trade consultation to the business units serviced by Innovative Medicine Supply Chain. We leverage our position to gain visibility into Innovative Medicine operations, processes, systems, and organizational structure, which provides us with insights on how to best address compliance activities and tailor them to Innovative Medicine´s specific needs.
   

  

 Innovative Medicine is seeking a Global Program Manager who shares our mission to implement a best-in-class global trade controls program for the segment with a focus on continually optimizing trade compliance- without disturbing business operations.
   

  

 The Global Program Manager is an in-house trade advisor for Innovative Medicine's global supply chain on complex customs planning initiatives, strategic and improvement projects aimed at minimizing customs duties and related expenses. He/she may provide highly technical subject matter expertise in the areas of customs valuation, tariff classification, preferential origin, data management and process definition.
   

  

The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:
* Oversight of Innovative Medicine Trade Controls Program: Oversee implementation of global trade control processes required to support the implementation of SAP GTS for the commercial legal entities of the pharmaceutical segment of Johnson & Johnson within the EMEA region.
* Integrate and streamline Trade Control processes: Efficiently integrate and streamline trade control processes within Innovative Medicine business operations and departments. Continue to work with key upstream stakeholders to anchor Trade Control into critical stage gate to ensure proper alignment with data and trade controls.
* Lead large-scale compliance efforts: Oversee the execution of large-scale compliance initiatives pertaining to EMEA regions import and export activities.
* Progress trade control maturity: Contribute to the maturity level of the overall trade control program for Innovative Medicine by implementing improvements and best practices.
* System implementation: Serve as a stakeholder in the implementation of GTS and S4/Hana systems for the Innovative Medicine segment, ensuring effective alignment with business goals.
* Collaborate cross-functionally: Collaborate with various departments, organizations, and stakeholders to advocate for trade compliance, representing Innovative Medicine's interests. Partner in the development and preparation of strategic, operational, and technical plans. Work collaborating with GTO, GTC, HCC and Legal to ensure J&J’s and Innovative Medicine works towards a world class Trade Control’s program.
* Communicate and escalate updates: Regularly communicate trade control updates and escalations to Innovative Medicine Sr. Manager and/or Leadership, ensuring they are informed of relevant issues and developments.
* Manage team and resources: Manage a team of direct reports, contractors, consultants, and co-ops, providing training, direction, guidance, and feedback. Responsible for departmental budget and project planning and management.


Qualifications:
We’d love to hear from YOU, if you have:
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
* Work Experience in the functional area of Customs, Trade Compliance, Supply Chain, Transportation, or Quality, with a minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on experience; EMEA-specific Trade knowledge preferred.
* Experience with ERPs and/or Trade Compliance systems, in particular experience with SAP and/or SAP GTS.
* Participate in driving process standards for IM and input to GTS from the EMEA regional perspective lending to global best in class processes.
* Participate in driving strong IM product classification process.
* Participate in driving strong IM FTA qualification process.
* Good communication skills. Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority; build consensus and cross-functional collaboration.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage several projects of varying complexity simultaneously and effectively.
* Up to 20% travel willingness.
