Job Description
University Instructors, LLC is recruiting for immediate placement of a dynamic full-time Special Education Teacher (credentialed or non-credentialed) in Vallejo, CA. In this role, you will: * Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to develop curriculum to meet the needs of students * Document student grades, evaluations and progress * Be responsible for enforcing school-wide student code of conduct to create an environment safe and conducive to learning at all times * Create rapport with students, families, community and school staff * Model professional and ethical standards when interacting with students, parents, peers and the community MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS To be eligible for this role you must hold a bachelor's degree and meet ONE of the following requirements: * Document a minimum of three (3) years of successful full-time classroom experience (or the equivalent in part-time experience) working with special education students. Experience as a special education teacher's aide or paraprofessional is acceptable OR * Have completed nine (9) semester credit hours in special education coursework OR * Hold ONE of the following majors or at least 18 semester credit hours in ONE of the following subjects: Liberal Studies, Biology, English, History, Mathematics, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, or Music. SALARY Starting base salary is $59,918 but may increase based on education and experience.
