My Client in the Utrecht Region are currently looking for a
 Mechanical Design Engineer 
 .
 



  





 The client is particularly interested in candidates with experience covering static and rotating equipment manufacturing, 2D & 3D design and analysis calculations.
 



  





 The client is an equipment manufacturer in the Oil & Gas industry for static and rotating equipment, working with global EPC companies and end client operators.
 



  





  





  





THE CLIENT WILL CONSIDER FREELANCE CANDIDATES, NOT PERMANENT 




  





  





  





START 
 : January, February 2025
 



LOCATION 
 : Utrecht region, Netherlands
 



WORK PATTERN: 
 On-Site Working 40 hours per week
 



  





Mechanical Design Engineer 
 :
 


* Mechanical Engineer with experience in equipment manufacturing, design and analysis
* HBO level/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Knowledge of design and analysis engineering tools, 2D and 3D software (Solidworks, Inventor, Ansys, etc.)
* Oil & Gas industry experience preferred
* Experience working with static & rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, etc.)
* Fluent English is essential, Dutch Beneficial



  





Key Responsibilities for this position: 




  




* Lead the design of skid packages for compressor systems, ensuring that all mechanical components are optimized for performance, manufacturability, and integration. This includes selecting components, performing necessary calculations (e.g., stress analysis, flow rates), and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and client specifications.
* Utilize 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed designs and models of the skid packages, incorporating all necessary components and ensuring ease of assembly, transport, and maintenance.
* Select appropriate mechanical components such as motors, piping, valves, and pressure vessels, ensuring correct sizing and functionality. Perform analysis to ensure components meet system specifications and operational requirements.
* Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., ASME, PED, API) and regulatory requirements.
