Job Description:

The proposed set of projects is critical for enhancing the efficiency, transparency, and independence of our business operations related to the EC3 platform.

* Automate Publishing - Phase 2: This project will automate the EC3 publishing process and QA validation for National Grid, ConEd, NYPA, and Manual Billing. By implementing a wizard interface, DEM ES team will be able to upload data without IT involvement, reducing bottlenecks and improving the speed and accuracy of data handling. This initiative will also provide screens for monthly data publishing, further streamlining the process.
* Documentation: Ensuring comprehensive documentation across all applications, particularly in areas such as budgeting, invoicing, and EC3, is vital for maintaining consistency, facilitating training, and supporting ongoing operations. This project will focus on enhancing documentation where needed, ensuring that all teams have the resources they need to operate effectively.These projects collectively address the current challenges of limited visibility and IT dependency, empowering the business team to take more control over the processes, thereby improving operational efficiency and reducing risks associated with delays or errors.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

The candidate will be responsible for executing the following tasks to ensure the successful implementation of "Automate Publishing - Phase 2 and "Documentation" projects:

TASKS:

* Automate Publishing - Phase 2:

- Analyze the current EC3 publishing process and identify areas for automation.

- Design and develop a wizard interface for the ES team to upload data (NYPA, NGRID, CONED) into EC3 without IT involvement.

- Develop screens for the monthly data publishing process, ensuring user-friendly access and functionality.

- Implement automated QA validation processes to ensure data accuracy and

compliance.

- Test the automation process thoroughly and address any issues or bugs

identified during testing.

- Provide training and support to the ES team on using the new automated

interface.

* Documentation Tasks:

- Assess the existing documentation for EC3, budgeting, invoicing, and other

related applications.

- Create or update documentation to fill any gaps, focusing on clarity,

completeness, and usability.

- Ensure all new processes and tools developed during the project are

thoroughly documented.

- Provide a comprehensive guide for users to understand and utilize the new features and processes.

- Conduct a documentation review with the business team to ensure all requirements are met.

* Project Management & Communication:

- Maintain Azure DevOps with proper Sprints, Product Backlog Items and deliverables.

- Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and any changes to the scope.

- Coordinate with IT, ES, and DEM teams to ensure alignment and smooth implementation.

- Prepare and present a final report summarizing the outcomes, benefits, and recommendations for future improvements.

This scope of work is designed to ensure that the consultant effectively addresses the current challenges, implements the necessary automation, and empowers the business team to operate more independently and efficiently.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: ( *Note: candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered )*

* Minimum of 12+ years of experience developing Microsoft ASP.NET applications using MVC 5 or higher.
* 12+ years’ experience in SQL Server (2016, 2019, 2022)
* 7+ years’ experience with Microsoft Entity Framework or comparable ORM
* 5+ years of experience with Vue or Angular or React, HTML5, and CSS3.

Requirements / Experience:

* 12+ years of experience developing Microsoft ASP.NET applications using MVC 5 or higher.
* 12+ years’ experience in SQL Server (2016, 2019, 2022)
* 7+ years’ experience with Microsoft Entity Framework or comparable ORM
* 5+ years of experience with Vue or Angular or React, HTML5, and CSS3
* Experience with Azure cloud
* Experience in server and application troubleshooting
* Experience with using WebAPI or WCF
* Experience in designing and developing robust database driven applications with advanced reporting functionalities.
* Experience in design and implementation of user interfaces

Desired Skills & Experience:

* Experience with using Azure DevOps
* Experience setting up and deploying CI/CD pipelines.
* Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
* Experience in data integration/ETL, specifically SSIS and Azure Data Factory
* Experience working with REST web services and designing and developing json based data exchanges.
* BA/BS Degree or equivalent, in a technology related field or other degree preferred. Advanced-level certifications and/or training in application development.
* Microsoft Certified Professional.

Preferred Skills

* Familiarity with Energy concepts and terminology
* Good understanding of billing systems as they relate to energy management systems.

Special Requirements:

Hybrid option is at the Client's discretion & they have the authority to change that as per their need to a normal In-Person schedule anytime.

*Consultants will not be compensated for lunch or mealtime holidays, vacations, or sick leaves taken by the consultant during the engagement. No overtime or schedule differentials premiums will be paid to Contractor for Consultants that perform work after/outside of Business Hours.* 

*All hours worked will be paid in accordance with the Hourly Bill Rate the Consultant’s labor category. Unless otherwise pre-approved in writing by the CLIENT reporting manager, the consultant cannot work more than 35 hours per week.*

· *Consultants must be able to work in person on CLIENT Site in New York, NY complying with New York City and CLIENT policies.*

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
