Job Summary  
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with terminal illnesses, focusing on comfort and quality of life. This role involves working closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. The Hospice Nurse will play a crucial role in managing symptoms, providing emotional support, and ensuring that patients receive the best possible end-of-life care.

Responsibilities

* Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
* Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
* Monitor vital signs and manage pain relief measures effectively.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
* Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding disease processes, treatment options, and end-of-life planning.
* Document patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the healthcare team promptly.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
* Participate in on-call duties as required to provide continuous patient support.

Experience

* Previous nursing experience in a Level I Trauma Center or similar high-acuity environment is preferred.
* Familiarity with medical terminology and managed care practices is essential.
* Experience in emergency room (ER), outpatient settings, or intensive care unit (ICU) is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of physiology and vital signs assessment is required.
* Proven ability to provide compassionate patient care while managing complex emotional situations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
