Staff Accountant
 Our client, a fast-growing technology company specializing in third-party risk and cyber security solutions, is seeking a
 Staff Accountant 
 to join their dynamic team. This role offers significant growth potential, working in a collaborative environment to support financial reporting, month-end close, and operational accounting processes. The position is hybrid, with two days per week in the Mountain View office (Tuesday and Thursday) for candidates living within a 1.5-hour commute. Fully remote candidates will also be considered.
   

  

  

Responsibilities 
* Manage full-cycle accounts payable, vendor setup, invoice processing, and payments.
* Oversee accounts receivable operations, including subscription-based invoicing and ASC 606 compliance.
* Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and reports for accurate and timely month-end close activities.
* Assist with financial analysis, budget preparation, and cash flow management.
* Maintain and enhance internal controls, and support external audits with necessary documentation.
* Collaborate across departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.


Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.
* 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a startup or SaaS/tech environment.
* Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite).
* Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Experience with SaasOptics (Maxio) is preferred but not required.
