Job Description
Urban Expressions is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate should be familiar with handling financial reports, accounting records, bookkeeping, and month-end and year-end closings. This is an onsite position based in Commerce. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and can work in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities: * Review and process invoices, account statements, reports, and other general accounting duties * Facilitate day-to-day billing inquiries * Perform bank account reconciliations * Create and enter journal entries into accounting system, including payroll and other operating expenses in an accurate and timely manner * Process expense reports in accordance with departmental procedures * Assist with month-end close; review and prepare accrual entries * Complete special projects as assigned * Assist with any other ad hoc analysis or reports as needed Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field * At least 3-5 years of experience in an accounting function or CPA firm * NetSuite experience a plus * Strong working knowledge of GAAP accounting preferred, but not required * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to multitask and deliver under tight deadlines in a calm manner * Excellent communication skills * Ability to work in a team environment and learn quickly * Comfortable interacting with employees of all levels * Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with tea Why Join Urban Expressions? * Work with a passionate team dedicated to ethical practices and innovative designs. * Opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to impactful projects. * Be part of a company that values adaptability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
