Job Description
Established investment firm is hiring an experienced Staff Accountant to join our growing team! As a valuable addition to our team, you will play an important role in our fast-growing finance team. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Prepare monthly bank reconciliations. * Perform balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts; research and analyze findings to ensure accuracy of accounts * Review general ledger details for operating and balance sheet for accuracy. * Consolidate and analyze financial data for presentation to senior management. * Identify and measure metrics and KPI’s to help improve financial performance. * Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions. * Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller. REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or Business required * 2-3 years progressively responsible experience in accounting * Experienced with month end closing processes * Well versed in the use of Excel Spreadsheets – macros, pivot tables, vlookups frequently used
