Role Overview: 




 As an Industrial Engineer (IE) you will act as the primary liaison between the production and maintenance teams, focusing on station improvement within the General Assembly and Body-In-White areas. Your role involves identifying and eliminating waste to enhance production efficiency. This could include implementing new systems or equipment, optimizing manpower, and ensuring the feasibility of proposed modifications or improvements. You will oversee the realization and deployment of these solutions while maintaining high levels of collaboration with the shopfloor teams.
 



  





Key Responsibilities: 



* Station Optimization:
* Identify waste and inefficiencies in production stations.
* Propose and implement solutions such as new equipment installation or manpower optimization.
* Collaboration & Coordination:
* Serve as the point of contact between production teams and maintenance for industrialization projects.
* Work closely with General Assembly and Body-In-White teams to understand operational needs.
* Feasibility Analysis:
* Evaluate technical feasibility and operational impact of proposed modifications.
* Conduct risk assessments and ensure alignment with production goals.
* Implementation & Deployment:
* Oversee the execution of station improvements and ensure adherence to project timelines.
* Train and support shopfloor personnel on new systems or processes.
* Continuous Improvement:
* Monitor station performance post-implementation and suggest iterative enhancements.
* Align projects with lean manufacturing principles to drive efficiency gains.



  





Candidate Requirements: 




Must-Haves: 



* Experience:
* Previous automotive industry experience, specifically in the Body In White (BIW) or General Assembly (GA) areas, with a focus on industrialization.
* Soft Skills:
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of acting as "customer service" for the production team.
* Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams.
* Technical Skills:
* Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Strong analytical skills to evaluate feasibility and impact of proposed changes.



  





Nice-to-Haves: 



* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
* Proficiency in CAD tools or production analysis software.
* Experience in deploying automation systems in manufacturing environments.
