The role We are looking for exceptional engineers to join our fast-growing team automating manual processes for legal professionals. You'll play a central role in developing our AI product and have end-to-end ownership of new features from research to backend and frontend. You will focus on AI research and development related to large language models, reporting directly to our CTO, and as part of a lean engineering team, we expect that you are able to contribute across the stack when necessary. We're Looking For In-depth Experience With * Python: common packages related to data science and FastAPI * Building LLM-powered products using agentic RAG * LLM-related frameworks like Langfuse and LangChain or similar * Vector databases * Docker * Software engineering best practices * Security and pseudonymization best practices Our team works in person at the Merantix AI Campus in Berlin. Fluency in German is a plus. You must have excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Who You Are * You have an entrepreneurial mindset and a deep sense of urgency in achieving your goals * A self-starter mindset - you enjoy working independently while keeping the team’s goals in mind * A pragmatic approach to problem solving. It’s more important to you to solve the problem than to use new/hyped technology * Ability to balance trade-offs between simple 80% solutions and complex 100% solutions
