About the opportunity


We are looking for an experienced Analyst to join our T.Capital team, either in Berlin, Hamburg or in Bonn.

  

About the T.Capital team:


We manage the investment cycle from origination to closing and the relationship beyond. As a member of our investment team, you will work closely with experienced venture capitalists and other professionals including Deutsche Telekom business stakeholders to identify strategic ecosystem opportunities, and evaluate potential investments in innovative startups and new technologies. You will have the opportunity to learn from and contribute to the team's collective knowledge and expertise, and to participate in all aspects of the investment process.


In this role, you will:


* Analyse potential investments in innovative start-ups and new technologies by developing financial models, conducting market research
* Support the identification of strategic ecosystem priorities in collaboration with DT business units
* Foster relationships with DT business leaders, entrepreneurs, and other industry professionals
* Contribute to all stages of deal execution, including identifying new investment opportunities, preparing analytical support for investment proposals and supporting the overall due diligence process
* Collaborate with portfolio companies to drive their success and leverage these relationships to identify new investment opportunities
* Interpret financial statements and use them to assess the viability and growth potential of potential investments, providing detailed analysis and recommendations.


What you need to be successful:


* University degree in relevant fields such as business or computer science
* 1+ years of experience, ideally within venture capital, investment banking, management consulting, or a start-up environment
* Strong grasp of technology and market trends, with a preference for knowledge in telecommunications and IT sectors
* Comfort with ambiguity and risk
* Proficient in financial analysis and modelling techniques
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* High level of initiative, self-motivation, and being a strong team player
