### Your role and responsibilities


The Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team of the Electrification Business Area is responsible for ensuring that Acquisitions, Joint Ventures and Divestments are successfully executed with maximum value, speed and risk management for ABB. We are an M&A center of excellence and are looking for an Analyst to join the team at ABB’s headquarters in Zürich. We are looking for highly motivated, assertive individuals with leadership potential who are interested in working for our dynamic, global company in the field of M&A. As an innovative company on the forefront of technology, we are looking for quality individuals who can make valuable contributions to the inorganic growth plans of ABB. The role will report to the Head of M&A Electrification. We can only accept applications with a valid permit to work in Switzerland (or can acquire one without sponsorship). The work model for the role is: hybrid LI-# hybrid Role and Responsibilities - Analysis of target companies’ financials - Building business plans and valuation models - Project management during all phases of M&A transactions: project planning, initial assessment, due diligence, contract negotiations, closing preparations, etc. - Collaboration with ABB’s businesses and other functions throughout the process - Preparation of presentations for ABB stakeholders - Contribution to transaction documents and their negotiation - Jointly shaping the way of working of our team


### Qualifications for the role

* University graduates with degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or Engineering
* 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience (ideally from investment banking/M&A advisory, corporate M&A or transaction services)
* Proficient use of MS Office suite essential, especially good Excel skills and financial modelling
* Mature, professional personality with high ambitions and ready to assume significant responsibility
* Team player with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability and willingness to work at times under intensive work loads
* Operating at highest levels of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
* Full professional fluency in English, additional languages are a plus
