Job Title: After-School Dance Instructor

Job Type: Part-time (maximum of 2-5 hours per week.)

Salary: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Job Description:

We are a provider of after-school dance classes for Grades K-3 in various elementary schools across the Bay Area. Currently, we are seeking dynamic and experienced instructors to join our team. This part-time position involves teaching dance to elementary school children, managing classes, and ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Class Management:

* Can manage a class size of 8 - 16 students with ages ages 5-10 years old
* Can teach different forms of dance to elementary school kids.

Training and Preparation:

* Attend a maximum of two-day unpaid training/shadowing session to familiarize yourself with the program.
* Transport equipment if needed and set up for each class.

Administrative Tasks:

* Take attendance and sign in/out students for each class.
* Interact with parents and school office staff as necessary.
* Provide feedback for each student by the end of the session.

Documentation:

* Capture a few pictures each session of kids in action.

Requirements:

* Must be 19+ years old upon application.
* Previous teaching or performing experience in dance is preferred but not required.
* Enjoy working with kids and possess effective classroom management skills.
* Flexibility, reliability, punctuality, and a professional, enthusiastic approach.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Resilient, positive attitude.
* Must have the ability to work independently and within a small team.
* Must have own car and valid driver's license to use at work
* Willingness to undergo a live scan background check before working.
* Fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Locations:

Programs are in multiple cities across the bay area and candidates must be readily available and living in the Bay Area.

Schedule:

Classes are 1 - 1.5 hours long, starting between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. Work two or more days per week, with a maximum of 2-5 hours per week.
