About Us
 The Alfred Hospital Trauma Service is one of two Level 1 adult trauma centers in Victoria, serving the populations of Victoria, the Victorian-New South Wales border, and Northern Tasmania. It is the busiest trauma center in Australasia for severely injured patients.
   

  

 The service draws on expertise from various specialties, including intensive care, surgery, radiology, emergency medicine, burns, psychiatry, and more.
   

  

 The National Trauma Research Institute (NTRI), established in 2003 by Alfred Health and Monash University, is located at The Alfred Medical Research and Education Precinct in Melbourne. Its mission is to improve trauma care through research, education, biotechnologies, and system development, working with organizations worldwide to enhance clinical outcomes. In 2016, the NTRI and Alfred Trauma Service merged their activities to integrate research and patient care more effectively.
   

  

About The Role
 We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrative Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to our Education & Events leadership team. This role will primarily focus on providing administrative support and coordination of educational events and will include general administrative tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing calendars, scheduling meetings, handling communications, and assisting with the planning and execution of events. Additionally, they will support day-to-day administrative functions and office coordination. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
   

  

About You
* Previous high-level administrative experience in health, research or related fields (minimum 4 years).
* High-level organisational skills demonstrated by the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines with competing demands.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Intermediate to advanced skills in using the Microsoft suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as well as Google Docs.
