*Please note: this position is based in Beverly Hills 5 days a week and offers a base salary between $85K - $100K.*




  





 A family office in Beverly Hills is seeking a Staff Accountant to join it's team. This is a mainly Accounts Payable-focused position.
 



  





Responsibilities 



* Manage the entire accounts payable cycle, from collecting invoices to obtaining necessary approvals, preparing supporting documentation, identifying the responsible payer from multiple entities, determining the appropriate general ledger coding, posting to the general ledger, and attaching supporting documents for timely payments.
* Investigate cost variances and identify any incorrect billing charges.
* Follow company policies for onboarding new vendors, including collecting tax documents and verifying wire instructions.
* Maintain vendor pre-approved lists.
* Post accounts payable payments to the general ledger.
* Record other cash movements to the general ledger, including transfers between accounts.
* Retrieve and attach support for investment valuations; maintain a log of these valuations.
* Retrieve bank statements and prepare bank reconciliations for multiple accounts, including resolving discrepancies.



  





Qualifications 



* Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or a related field
* 15+ years of Accounting / Accounts Payable experience; at least 5 years managing entire Accounts Payable cycle (first bullet point above)
* Some exposure to more broad accounting, i.e. bank reconciliations, booking Journal Entries, intercompany transfers
* Experience with an ERP – anything from QuickBooks to SAP
* Financial Services industry preferred
