Job Description
Translucent Services is seeking an on-call Field Engineer. As a Field Engineer, your primary responsibilities will involve repairing and replacing damaged hardware, rack and stacking, as well as providing "smart hands" assistance for data storage equipment in customer sites. You will receive remote support from a colleague. Additionally, you will be required to gain expertise in server hardware within data center environments. Clear and proactive communication with customers, colleagues, and partners is essential for this role. Timely responses to both internal and external inquiries are expected. The position also requires travel to customer sites within a 100-mile radius of Livermore, California Translucent Services offers installation and professional services to commercial and government locations. A current Q-Clearance is a mandatory requirement for this role. Job Requirements: - Years: 0-1 of general IT experience. - Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. - Internal Training & Certification: Successfully cleared candidate screening process. - OEM Requirements: Pure - Actively completing all Field Engineering courses and assessments. - Extremely efficient with their time. - Highly knowledgeable about the specific task that must be completed while on-site - Must exercise profound compassion for the customer, orienting yourself to their success. Always demonstrate good on-site etiquette and engage in positive interactions with customers. Respect and safeguard proprietary customer information. - Must have high productivity and output with minimal supervision - Strong general IT skills related to emails, documents, spreadsheets, file management, calendars, video conferencing, and basic computer hardware. - U.S. Q-Clearance Job Type: Part-Time, on-call Pay: $500 per month + per dispatch pay of $700 Schedule: * On-call as needed Ability to Relocate: * Livermore, California: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: On the road Job Type: Part-time Pay: $500.00 per month License/Certification: * Q-Clearance?
