The Berkeley City Club is a historic hotel, event space, restaurant and bar, and social club. Originally opened in 1930 as the Berkeley Women's City Club, our architect Julia Morgan's unique Moorish-gothic vision comes to life through soaring arches, ornamental architecture, inviting courtyards, and a breathtaking indoor pool. We are looking for an ambitious "people person" to complete our fast-paced Events team. In this role, you will guide clients through the private event process from inquiry to completion. You will be the go-to person for a variety of clientele, including corporate, weddings and social, membership, and team member appreciation events as well as group hotel blocks.

  

Who You Are:

* Self-starter who will achieve sales targets and expand the business to meet budgetary needs
* Open and willing to work in a multicultural environment
* Highly organized with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, members, and team members
* High attention to detail
* Willingness to learn new tasks
* Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets
* Proficient in property management systems including Clubessential and ReserveCloud


What You'll Bring:

* 2-5 years of experience in event management, Hospitality and/or Club industry is a plus
* An enthusiastic and proactive work ethic
* Ability to collaborate effectively both as a team or independently
* Excellent organizational skills
